It is my distinct honor to present this year's Indiana ANFP Administrator of the Year Award to a man who truly exemplifies compassionate, effective leadership in long term care.
Ten Years ago, I stepped into my first role as a Dietary Manager, nervous but eager. From day one, Bill Reess took my under his wing. As my first boss in this field, he didn't just show me how to run a department- he taught me the finer points of what it really means to be a manager in a nursing home: how to lead with both head and heart, how to advocate for residents and staff alike and how to balance high standards with genuine care.
His guidance turned uncertainty into confidence. He modeled integrity, creativity in solving problems, and an unwavering commitment to every person who walks through our doors. Under his leadership, our team didn't just meet expectations, her raised them.
This afternoon, we celebrate not only his professional excellence but the quiet consistent way he lifts others up. He made me a better manager and he makes our facility a better place every single day. Please join me in congratulating our 2026 Administrator of the Year - Bill Rees!!
