🚨 *TRAFFIC ALERT: R58 ALIWAL NORTH – LADY GREY* 🚨

Motorists travelling on the R58 between Maletswai (Aliwal North) and Lady Grey are advised to exercise extreme caution as the roadway has become very slippery due to snowfall and icy conditions.

❄️ Snow and ice have accumulated on sections of the road, creating hazardous driving conditions and increasing the risk of vehicles losing traction.

*Road Safety Tips*:
🔹 Reduce speed significantly and maintain a safe following distance.
🔹 Avoid sudden braking, accelerating or sharp steering movements.
🔹 Switch on headlights to improve visibility.
🔹 Remain alert for black ice and slippery sections of road.
🔹 Postpone non-essential travel where possible, especially during the evening and early morning hours.
