Sci-Fantasy Cape Town is seeking a Workshop Manager / Office Administrator. This is a temporary position with the possibility of continued employment.

Location: Milnerton

Start Date: 1 February
Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 days a week)
Training: A few training days during the week prior to the start date

About the Role:
Sci-Fantasy Cape Town is a specialist props company supplying the film, television, commercial, and creative
industries, with a particular focus on medical, laboratory, and technology props. We are seeking a reliable,
organised, and practical Office Manager / Administrator to support both office and workshop operations in a
hands-on, varied role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing quotes, invoices, and delivery notes (primarily using Microsoft Excel)
- Managing day-to-day office administration and client communication
- Keeping props inventory lists updated and accurate
- Wrapping, packing, and preparing props for collection and delivery
- Unwrapping, checking, cleaning, and returning props after use
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised office and workshop environment
- Keeping the office kitchen stocked and orderly
- Liaising professionally with clients, drivers, and production personnel

Requirements:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident and competent using Microsoft Excel (essential)
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and take initiative
- Physically able to assist with packing, cleaning, and organising props
- Reliable transport and ability to get to and from work independently
- Professional, calm, and client-facing manner

This role suits someone who is comfortable taking responsibility, managing multiple tasks, and working practically in
a small, busy production environment.

Advantageous (but not essential):
- Interest, knowledge, or experience in medicine, laboratory work, science, or technology
- Knowledge of or experience working within the film and television industry
- Previous experience in administration, production support, or a creative or technical environment
