After a long absence, our spiky little visitor has found his way back to House of Amani. 🌿

And of course, our wildlife camera was there to capture his return. 📹🦔

Apparently, the baboons also like living at House of Amani… but we didn’t quite agree on their renovation plans! 😂

We’re getting used to having these cheeky visitors around. They regularly come by to inspect the house, the pool and pretty much everything else they can get their hands on. 🦧🌿

This time, however, they decided that our sewer system needed some attention. And instead of calling a plumber, they simply started the renovation themselves! 🤦‍♂️😂

Unfortunately, their DIY project caused quite a bit of damage, so it was time for us to step in and repair the mess.

With the help of Hendrik, everything has now been repaired and, more importantly, made as baboon-proof as possible. 🔧💪

Whether it really is baboon-proof… well, we’re sure our furry little inspectors will be back soon to check the quality of our work. 😂🦧

The word is definitely out in the bush…
There’s free sugar water at House of Amani, and the sunbirds are LOVING it! 😍

All day long, these little colourful speed machines are flying in for a quick refill. Some stay for seconds, others seem to think they own the place! 😂

No booking required.
No dress code.
Just wings, feathers and a serious sweet tooth. 🐦🍹

Apparently, Happy Hour is all day at House of Amani! 🤣

🖤 A special gift for House of Amani

Some things in our home are more than just decoration… they have a story. ❤️

We received this beautiful piece of African décor as a gift from my cousin and his wife. It has now found a special place in House of Amani.

The African style fits perfectly here and every time we look at it, we are reminded of their thoughtful gift and the wonderful memories we share in South Africa.

A house becomes a home through the memories we create and the people who are part of them. 🇿🇦❤️
