Welcome to RAK Glamping,

Do you love the idea of camping but don't want all the hassle of packing up everything you possess to have some level of comfort whilst camping? Do you love your home comforts but relish the idea of sleeping under material or canvas and hearing the birds first thing in the morning or cooking dinner under the stars! Look no further!

What is Glamping?

RAK Glamping joins the thrill of camping together with a few additional luxuries that you traditionally wouldn't have whilst doing regular camping. Our traditional Arabic Goat Hair Bedouin tents (Beit Al Shaar) is set in 9 delightful acres of dunes and Gaff trees overlooking the Hajjar Mountains in Ras al Khaimah located at Homely Petz (www.homelypetz.com) The air conditioned tent can sleep up to 4 (1 double and 2 singles). Has electricity/power points/USB port, fridge, microwave, tea/coffee making facility and a fun Majlis seating area. The tent faces an outdoor seated patio area which looks over the “gas” BBQ/picnic area and all of this overlooks the dunes and mountains. There is also a private shower/toilet block.

Additional fun!

In the tent we have a selection of board games for dull moments when you want to disconnect from your mobile and the internet, balls abound for your dog, outside ten pin bowling and croquet, fun and free to do.

Do you have a dog?

We actively welcome dog loving people to stay, we are dog lovers ourselves and know the challenges of finding places to stay where you can take your dog along also, you are in luck, we offer just that. As long as your dog is toilet/house trained so as to avoid “little accidents” in the tent they are welcome. The plot is totally enclosed by fencing which allows those dogs with limited recall to explore with the owners whilst off leash without the worry of losing them. There is also a small pet shop on site.

Get your child back to nature

Glamping is a great way of introducing your child to camping gently. Enjoy the benefits and excitement of camping but have the home comforts available if you need them. Let your child wonder at the idea of being outdoors, explore the dunes and trees, learn about wildlife (you can borrow our binoculars), bird watching or go bug hunting. Our small Koi pond also introduces the delights and education of fish. Our two elderly horses Atlanta and Marisol welcome you on arrival, they get fed twice a day where we encourage our younger guests to join in and if they are lucky even get to help give them a wash. There are also tortoises to go see and why not take your kiddie to our ducks and chickens to collect some eggs! In each tent is a small selection of children’s books too for quiet time in the tent. Lots to do :)
