Parlamentarë nga Shqipëria, Rumania dhe Moldavia u mblodhën sot në Durrës për të diskutuar reformën në drejtësi dhe rolin e komisioneve parlamentare në mbështetje të saj. Diskutimet u fokusuan te mësimet që mund të nxirren nga përvoja e tre vendeve.

“Roli i Parlamentit në reformën në drejtësi dhe ekuilibri mes mbikëqyrjes institucionale dhe pavarësisë së gjyqësorit janë në thelb të qeverisjes demokratike. Përvoja e reformës në drejtësi në Shqipëri, me një kuadër ligjor dhe institucional që siguron një ekuilibër të drejtë mes llogaridhënies dhe pavarësisë, ofron mësime që shkojnë përtej kufijve të saj. Në thelb, reforma në drejtësi e Shqipërisë është një projekt besimi. Besim te institucionet që janë të pavarura, kompetente dhe llogaridhënëse. Besim te një Parlament që mbikëqyr pa kontrolluar,” tha Andre Rizzo, i Ngarkuari me Punë në Delegacionin e BE-së në Shqipëri.

Parliamentarians from Albania, Romania and Moldova gathered today in Durrës to discuss justice reform and the role of parliamentary committees in supporting it. Discussions focused on the lessons that can be drawn from experience in the three countries.

“The Parliament’s role in justice reform and the balance between institutional oversight and judicial independence are at the very heart of democratic governance. The experience of Albania’s justice reform, with a legal and institutional framework that ensures a fair balance between accountability and independence, offers lessons that resonate beyond its borders. At its core, Albania’s justice reform is a project of trust. Trust in institutions that are independent, competent, and accountable. Trust in a Parliament that oversees without controlling,” said Andre Rizzo, Charge d’Affaires at the EU Delegation to Albania.
