One of the things I’ve learnt after 4 years of hosting - you never stop learning.

I loved receiving this 5★ review from Volker and his family after their 11-night stay, but I also really appreciated the thoughtful private feedback they left me.

Some little things to improve, some things to replace… and a few things for my ever-growing Simply Albania list 😂

For me, that’s all part of hosting. Listening, tweaking and making this little house better year after year 🧡 🇦🇱

And when a guest says the house is even more beautiful in person than in the photos… that makes all those changeover days, gardening days and pool-cleaning days rather worth it.

Our new pool vacuum makes keeping the pool fresh between cleans so easy - and we leave it at the house for our guests to use too.

One of my favourite parts of hosting isn’t just welcoming guests… it’s reading about the memories they’ve made before they leave.

Last week I welcomed a lovely family from Denmark, who spent five nights exploring Albania— from Theth and Berat to Radhimë and Tirana.

When I arrived for changeover, the house had been left beautifully clean and tidy, and then I opened Airbnb to find this wonderful review waiting for me…

“We loved the location in the authentic little village, away from the hustle and bustle.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

That one sentence perfectly captures what Simply Albania is all about.

Thank you, Ann & family, for your kind words and for taking such wonderful care of our village retreat. It was a pleasure to host you, and you’ll always be welcome back. 🧡

I lost count of how many boats passed across the bay today…

Watching them reminded me of one of my favourite excursions from here.

Sazan Island & the Karaburun Peninsula.

I’ve been lucky enough to do this trip several times over the years, and every visit feels a little different. From exploring sea caves to swimming in crystal-clear water and seeing the coastline from a completely new perspective, it’s an experience I always recommend to guests.

If you’re staying with us and looking for a memorable day out, this should definitely be on your list.

Back at Simply Albania today getting everything ready for our next guests 🇦🇱

One thing I love about being away for a few days… coming back to see what nature has been up to! The bougainvillea has absolutely exploded into colour and the garden is looking better than ever 🌺

There’s always plenty to do behind the scenes before check-in, but days like this remind me why we fell in love with this little corner of Albania. 🧡

We can’t wait to welcome our next guests.

Zoe Hora sits high above the Albanian Riviera in the historic village of Dhërmi, where traditional stone houses, winding pathways and breathtaking sea views create one of the most unique stays I’ve seen in Albania.

What I love most is that it feels authentically Albanian while still offering the comfort and style many travellers are looking for.
