Weingut des Monats: Familienweingut Tement 🍷

Diesen Monat führt uns unsere Weinreise in die Südsteiermark: zum Familienweingut Tement in Ehrenhausen.

Seit 1959 steht der Name Tement für Weine, die ihre Herkunft in den Mittelpunkt stellen. Heute bewirtschaftet die Familie Weingärten auf österreichischer und slowenischer Seite, darunter bekannte Lagen wie Zieregg, Grassnitzberg Riff und Ciringa. Im Mittelpunkt steht vor allem der Sauvignon Blanc, geprägt von den kargen Böden und besonderen Lagen der Region.

Was wir am Weingut Tement schätzen? Die klare Handschrift. Hier geht es nicht darum, die Herkunft eines Weines zu überdecken, sondern sie so präzise wie möglich ins Glas zu bringen. Die Weingärten werden biodynamisch bewirtschaftet, die Trauben von Hand gelesen und die Weine langsam und mit viel Zeit ausgebaut.

Unser Tipp: Probiert bei eurem nächsten Besuch in unserer Bar ein Glas Tement und entdeckt, wie viel Südsteiermark in einem Wein stecken kann.

Winery of the Month: Family Winery Tement 🍷

This month, our wine journey takes us to Southern Styria and Family Winery Tement in Ehrenhausen.

Since 1959, the Tement name has stood for wines with a strong sense of origin. Today, the family cultivates vineyards on both the Austrian and Slovenian sides of the border, including renowned sites such as Zieregg, Grassnitzberg Riff and Ciringa. Sauvignon Blanc plays a particularly important role, shaped by the region's distinctive soils and vineyard sites.

What do we appreciate about Tement? Its unmistakable signature. The focus is not on masking a wine's origin, but on expressing it as precisely as possible. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically, the grapes are harvested by hand and the wines are given plenty of time to develop.

Our recommendation: Enjoy a glass of Tement during your next visit to our bar and discover the character of Southern Styria for yourself.
