Life can be unfair at times. One of our Noonamah family members, Tia, recently welcomed a beautiful new baby girl into the world, but shortly afterward she suffered a severe stroke.

Tia is currently in hospital undergoing rehabilitation and has a long road to recovery ahead of her. While she focuses on getting back on her feet and spending precious time with her new baby, we'd like to come together as a community and support her in any way we can.

Let's rally around Tia and her family during this incredibly difficult time. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a real difference and help ease some of the challenges they are facing.

Thank you for helping us show Tia that her Noonamah family is behind her every step of the way. ❤️

As yet we do not have an account set up for donations but there is a donation box at the Noonamah Tavern

Our first dog sitting for the dry season all the way from the USA. From Oregon by car to Florida, then on the plane to Australia. Mila is one loved puppy. Her Mum was waiting when she arrived in Australia. She spent the day in the office living the air conditioning while her mum enjoyed some time swimming and hiking at Litchfield.

Your Litchfield Park adventure starts here! 🌿💦

The monsoon is finally easing, which means Buley Rockhole and Florence Falls are officially open for swimming and hiking! After the big wet season we’ve had, the falls look absolutely incredible right now.

Want to visit like a local? Here is our perfect afternoon itinerary:
📍 First stop: A refreshing swim at Florence Falls.
🧺 Lunch: Pack a picnic and find a shady spot under the trees near the lower carpark (just below the toilet block area).
💦 Second dip: Head to the rock pools above the falls for a quick soak.
👟 The Stroll: Take the short 1km fully sealed walking path over to Buley Rockhole to relax in the rapids.

Not a swimmer? No worries! The walks and lookouts at Tolmer and Wangi Falls are spectacular and easy to access.

🔥 PRO TIP: To beat the crowds, we like to head out from Acacia around 12:30 pm and stay until 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm. It’s the best way to enjoy the park in peace!

Florence Falls is now open for swimming.

Rangers have completed their safety checks and the site is ready for visitors.

No plans today? Why not visit Litchfield National Park and cool off at Florence Falls. Enjoy a picnic by the plunge pool, take a stroll along Shady Creek or go for a refreshing swim.

Recent flooding has caused road shoulder damage and potholes in some areas, so please drive carefully on your way to and from the park.

If you have guests visiting from interstate or overseas, they will need to purchase an NT Parks Visitor Pass before heading out.

WHOSE A HAPPY CAMPER ⛺🚙🤩

At Acacia Hills Caravan Park, we know the best stories aren't told by us—they’re told by the families, solo travelers, and grey nomads who pull up a chair under our stars.

Over the next few months we'll post some of our reviews from guests; some are repeat visitors, some come for our dog friendly facilities, our location between Darwin and the National Park, and others found us by chance.

Thank you to all our guests who leave reviews; we appreciate your feedback and strive to make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable one.
