We're incredibly excited to announce an intimate and exclusive wine tasting event coming to The Lockleys function room this July. And trust us, this is one you do not want to miss!
Kalleske is one of the Barossa Valley's most celebrated family wineries, farming certified organic and biodynamic vineyards that have been in the family for over 150 years. Their wines speak for themselves. Bold, expressive, and deeply rooted in South Australian winemaking tradition. But what happens when you pit their classic traditional varieties against their alternative styles? That's exactly what we're about to find out.
On Wednesday 29th July, we're hosting the Battle of Kalleske — Traditional vs Alternate — a quick evening of 8 carefully selected tastings guided by Hamish from Porter & Co, one of South Australia's most knowledgeable wine hosts. Expect a relaxed, fun and genuinely fascinating deep dive into what makes Kalleske one of the Barossa's most exciting producers.
The battle lineup in this 1 hour experience will include:

🍷 Kalleske Moppa Shiraz vs Kalleske Zeigeist Shiraz
🍷 Kalleske Merchant Cab Sauv vs Kalleske Durif
🍷 Kalleske Eduard Shiraz vs Kalleske Greenock Shiraz
Nibbles will be served at 6:30pm, special purchase pricing will be available on the night, and the whole experience is yours for just $25 per person.
But here's the catch —only 16 tickets are available. This is an intimate, seated event in our function room and once those 16 seats are gone, they're gone. No exceptions.
