The Maylands Hotel Open 365 days a year! Nestled in the eastern suburb of Maylands, the Maylands Hotel is a delightful century-old pub overlooking Cruickshank Reserve.

We serve premium locally sourced produce in season, and pub classics from 12pm to late, 7 days a week. Our extensive renovations to all of our updated interiors have embraced a vibrant new look, that blends fashionable, classic and original art deco aesthetics and finishing's perfect for a homely feel. Open fireplaces, various dining spaces and support in our offerings both regional and local. The Maylands Hotel was awarded Best Bistro Casual Dining (Inner Metropolitan) in South Australia at the prestigious 2021 AHA SA Hotel Industry Awards for Excellence and Best in the East Pub Experience 2022 recognising the innovative efforts that have gone into creating a vibrant dining experience that meets the needs of locals and the wider community.

From Canada to Hamilton Island and now Adelaide… meet Ryan, our new Head Chef at the Maylands Hotel, who's certainly done his fair share of exploring! 👨‍🍳

With over 20 years in hospitality, Ryan's Australian adventure began 12 years ago when he applied for a chef's job on Hamilton Island. Not a bad place to start, we reckon! 😂

His culinary journey eventually brought him to Adelaide, and we're delighted he's recently joined the Maylands team.

Back in Canada, Ryan developed a particular passion for cooking with wild game, and now he's keen to explore Australia's own native game and the incredible local produce available on our doorstep.

So it's rather fitting that this year's International Chefs Day theme is Food Explorers!

And with a whole new landscape of ingredients, flavours and seasonal produce to discover, we're looking forward to seeing where Ryan's creativity takes him next.

From Canada to Australia, we're pretty chuffed his culinary adventures have brought him to our kitchen!

Fresh, vibrant and full of interesting flavours, these two salads are anything but ordinary.

Soba Noodle Salad - $26
Chilled buckwheat soba noodles tossed with red chilli nham jim, cucumber, green tomato, avocado, tahini dressing, edamame, fresh herbs, toasted cashews and sesame.

Pumpkin & Persian Feta Salad - $22
Oven-roasted Kent pumpkin with tahini-maple honey, radicchio, green harissa yoghurt, Granny Smith apple, fresh herbs, roasted pecans and crispy curry leaves.

Our Spinach & Ricotta Gnocchi is hand-rolled in the traditional gnudi style - beautifully soft and delicate, with a rich taleggio cream, seared zucchini, lemon zest, shaved aged pecorino, toasted pine nuts and fresh tarragon.

A little taste of Bavaria has found its way into the backstreets of Maylands, with our chefs serving up a special Oktoberfest menu throughout October. 🍻

Think a platter for 2 with giant pretzels, traditional German sausages, sauerkraut, creamy potato mash, Beerenberg mustards and rich bier gravy.

And for something sweet to finish? Warm apple strudel with cinnamon sugar and vanilla bean ice cream.

There’s also a Bavarian-inspired market fish for those looking to explore something a little different.

Our Oktoberfest kitchen specials are available alongside our regular menu until 31 October.
