Spring is for taking the long way.
Coastal walks, wildflowers in bloom and fresh air against some of Australia’s most spectacular scenery make this one of our favourite times to explore Albany on foot.
A few walks worth adding to your list:
🌼 Ellen Cove Boardwalk - an easy coastal wander from Middleton Beach, perfect for a slower morning with views across King George Sound.
🍃 Point Possession Heritage Trail - a longer walk around the Vancouver Peninsula, where you’ll find beaches, granite outcrops, wildflowers and views across both Princess Royal Harbour and King George Sound.
🌸 Peak Head - around 4.8km return and a little more challenging, rewarding the climb with sweeping views across the Southern Ocean.
🌻 Bald Head Walk Trail - one for the keen hikers. A challenging 12.5km return trail along the Flinders Peninsula, with spectacular ocean views on either side.
Whether your idea of a walk is a gentle morning wander or a few hours on the trail, there’s plenty of coastline waiting to be explored - and a comfortable place to put your feet up when you’re done.
✨ Save this one for your next stay in Albany.
