Things to do and see around the area:

🪨Donnelly’s Castle: Scale the giant boulders, narrow crevices, and fun cave openings. (Dog friendly)

🔭Mt Marlay Lookout: Walk around the summit and take in views across Stanthorpe with the free binoculars.

⛳Granite Belt Maze: Navigate the giant maze, solve custom riddles, or play a game of mini golf.

🍎The Big Apple Photo: Take a fun photo 'holding' the Big Apple at Vincenzo's

🦆Quart Pot Creek Walk: Stroll along the creekside trail toward the historic 'Red' Bridge and Feed the local ducks along the way (duck feed at the Visitor Information Centre).

🎄Granite Belt Christmas Farm: Get lost in all the decorations, meet and feed Santa’s animals and try their hot chocolate (free entry, closed Tuesdays).

🐴Kent Saddlery: Try hands-on leather stamping and meet the animals.

📸Ballandean Pyramid: Grab a classic photo "holding up" this iconic granite landmark.

🚂Heritage Steam Train: Monthly (26th September) historic steam train from Warwick to Stanthorpe, or Stanthorpe to Ballandean. (https://downsexplorer.org.au/bookings/)

🌄Girraween National Park: Cross Bald Rock Creek on an easy, family-friendly 30-minute walk to see the Granite Arch.

🍇Kid-Friendly Cellar Doors: Not all w**eries are just about the w**e. Plenty to do for the whole family. See the animals at Balancing Heart Vineyard, feed goats at Ridgemill Estate, or try bocce at Jester Hill Wines.

🚶‍♂️Sentimental Rocks: Take a short bushwalk right in town through clusters of massive granite rocks.

This old chook turned 40 in June! I wanted to do a w**e tour in our own backyard. We embarked on a day out with Filippos Tours, guided by our host, Sue.

What a fun day! Too much fun, I didn't get any photos.

Here's what our day looked like:

🍇Winery 1 was the lovely Ridgemill Estate, we had to pace ourselves, it was only stop 1
🍷Winery 2 was Big Fella Wines & Accommodation with some great stories and funny tales
🍝Lunch Varias which was nice and warm, great food and more w**e
🪈Winery 3 was Jester Hill Wines, you must try 'Roland the Farter' and have Michael tell his tale
🍯Winery 4 for something a little different was which was lovely to end the day.

A w**e tour is a must. Its a great way to get to a few w**eries and not have to worry about driving, or like me, a special occassion. We did come home with a few samples haha, who are we kidding, a lot of samples.
