The Normanby Hotel. Brisbane’s local watering hole is back!

After a change in ownership and redevelopment, The Normanby Hotel has been resurrected and back to its roots as “Brisbane’s local pub”. The Normanby Hotel boasts all-day dining, renovated beer garden, Doghouse Dining room, Hops bar, state-of-the-art gaming facilities, sport on the biggest screen in Brisbane, several function areas and free car parking. We are committed to providing a platform that encourages friendly conversation and healthy debate around all things relating to the Normanby Hotel. However, there are a few house rules.

Plenty of the faces behind our bar and in our kitchen came a long way to be here 🤎

Right now, skilled chefs and managers who’ve passed every check and have a job waiting are stuck in a 12-month visa queue, and many are heading to NZ, the UK or Canada instead. On top of that, changes to working holiday visas could mean 40,000 fewer workers for pubs, farms and towns across regional Australia, where there’s no one to replace them.

We’re backing the QHA & AHA in calling for a fix.
