Winmark’s Biosis Sparkling Chardonnay has been named in the Halliday Top 100 W**es for 2026, an outstanding recognition which we are excited to share with you.
Made from our estate's Chardonnay grapes, Biosis is hand picked in the cool of the early morning, then sent straight to press to extract the highest quality and delicate juices. Ensuring a crisp style, this Methodé Traditionelle also spends 18 months on lees, creating a fine, persistent bead. Bright and bubbly in the glass with floral aromas and notes of citrus the nose.
Crisp primary fruit flavours of grapefruit, white peach and nectarine are complemented by
secondary notes of almonds and beeswax, with lovely complexity and texture. Clean and fresh with a very fine line of acidity.
Biosis is named after the stunning sculpture at Winmark, by David Ball. Biosis - bound to earth yet reaches towards heaven in representation of our highest dreams.. “Biosis works both from and with the landscape,” “It’s broad, it reaches out and sits in this big, beautiful valley surrounded by sandstone and cliffs that are themselves like sculpture.” 𝐷𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑑 𝐵𝑎𝑙𝑙
Our sparkling 'Biosis' is a stunning representation of our beautiful, Sculpture Park and W**ery and certainly fits the criteria of representing our highest dreams.
