Looking for the perfect winter escape?

The Bunya Mountains Markets are on Sunday August 30, making it the ideal excuse for a day in the mountains. Spend the morning browsing local stalls, handmade treasures, fresh produce and artisan delights, then settle in for lunch at the The Bunyas Tavern before a cosy night in at The Bower.

For thousands of years, the Bunya Mountains have been a place of gathering, connection and community.

When the bunya pines produced their abundant harvest of nuts, people travelled from across South East Queensland and beyond to meet in the mountains. These gatherings were a time for sharing stories, strengthening relationships, celebrating culture, and connecting with Country.
