Meet "Mew", the newest face at Apollo's front desk!
At just 20 years old, Mew already has an impressive amount of hospitality experience under her belt, having started working in the industry at just 13.
After gaining experience in local coffee shops, Mew headed to the Hunter Valley, where she joined Voco Kirkton Park as a barista before working her way up to Guest Services Agent. At just 16, she made the move to Sydney, living independently and completing professional barista training before eventually returning to Newcastle.
Now she's brought all that experience to the Apollo, along with the ability to make a seriously good cup of coffee!
Approaching her first month with us, Mew says she's loving her new role, particularly the team she's working alongside. She's currently balancing her shifts at reception with university studies and is considering a future in either information technology or business. Outside of work and study, Mew describes herself as a bit of a homebody, although she does enjoy getting to the gym.
She's also bilingual, speaking fluent Thai, which is a wonderful asset to have at the front desk when welcoming guests from all over the world. We're delighted to have Mew on board and look forward to watching her continue to grow with us.
