As summer progresses many of our lakes and waterways are becoming unusable due to infestations of blue green algae. Lake Albert in Wagga, Lake Canobolas Orange, Menindee Lakes to name a few.

Why are governments stepping around this problem?

Carp aren’t just ugly fish — they’re ecosystem wreckers.

They churn up river beds, release nutrients, kill aquatic plants and fuel toxic blue-green algae blooms. Warm, slow, nutrient-rich water plus carp equals ecological collapse.

Ignoring carp while blaming “the weather” is a cop-out.
Fix the system or expect more toxic rivers.
