The final Australian MotoGP at Phillip Island has come and gone, and the weather took the race with it.
For thirty years this weekend brought the world to a small island, and for the six years we have been open it brought them to our door. Teams who returned season after season. Families who made the drive down every October. Visitors who crossed oceans for three days of racing and a cold ocean wind they were never quite prepared for.
You were never just a busy weekend to us. Thank you for coming back, thank you for coming anyway, and thank you for making this corner of the island feel like the centre of something.
We tried for a serious group photo. A bit of ânerie got in the way, which is only to be expected when the restaurant's name means nonsense in French.
