Passive House by Mareines Arquitetura, located in Campinas, Brazil, is organized around a triangular, cloister-like garden designed as a space for pause and contemplation.
Its exposed-brick roof curves dramatically toward the water, collecting rainwater while helping define the pool and reflecting pool below. Deep eaves, double roof slabs and natural airflow reduce heat gain and allow the interiors to remain comfortable without air conditioning.
The residence also incorporates photovoltaic panels, solar water heating and rainwater reuse, combining sculptural architecture with passive environmental strategies.
