Guess what happens when you show up for your horse, and do your homework??
You get fantastic results!
Angie’s horse was stalling approaching the float, moving off her line and not loading easily.
We looked at the lead forward aids, turn and slowing signals - cleared up any confusion and problem solved.
This was trained initially at home before asking for this behaviour in a new environment.
This video shows Shari loading at a new location - this is “proof” training, anywhere/any time - and not only does Shari load easily, there was only one repetition required with a little more guidance before she could load calmly without support.

This is was good training is all about:
✅ identify any deficiencies in the basic responses of go/stop/turn
✅ re-train these to be clear, calm and relaxed
✅ test these responses in a new context, in this case loading on to the float
✅ start this training in an environment the horse is comfortable in before testing in more challenging places
Methodical training done extremely well!!
Super job Angie and Shari, thanks for allowing me to share your success. 🥇
