The 2026 Donnelly Verandah Residencies.

The Donnelly Verandah Residencies are a Donnelly River Village Community initiative. Each year, artists stay in one of the village cottages for just over a week, with time to develop ideas, grow their practice or make new work among the old-growth Karri that surround our 1950s mill town.

This year six Western Australian artists took part: Dominique Coiffait, Amanda Benn, Graham Stove, Bridget Seaton, Jessica Holliday and Emily Barker. The new work from their residencies, and the research and material explorations behind it, will be exhibited at Earlywork in South Fremantle.

Opening Friday 2 October, 6–8pm, with a special performance by Emily Barker.
Exhibition runs 2–11 October, daily 10am–4pm.gallery, 330 South Terrace (cnr Wardie St), South Fremantle.
