There’s something about winter weekends in the hinterland that makes every stop feel warmer.

A slow drive from Dorrigo through misty rainforest roads… an afternoon drink at the Federal Hotel with live music drifting out onto Hyde Street… then back to Ivy House for a fire, good wine and stories that somehow last longer in the colder months.

For the food lovers, the weekend can easily turn into a little gastro trail through Bellingen — from long lunches at Three Blue Ducks, Bellingen to relaxed dinners at Charlie’s at church and local craft brews at The Bellingen Brewery & Co..🍷

🚗🌿 The journey to Dorrigo has a way of humbling you…🌿 🚗

You leave thinking “quick weekend away.”
You pass one scenic lookout and suddenly you’re stopping for photos like it’s your first time seeing trees and waterfalls.

By the time you arrive, you’ve:
📍 Rewritten your playlist
📍 Debated moving to the country
📍 And said “wow” at least 14 times for no reason
