Wangat lodge is a secluded venue, nestled in the forest, on the banks of the stunning Chichester River - providing accommodation for groups of 2-58! In December 2017, Dan Lyons and his wife, Verity Keniger became proud owners of the majestic Wangat Lodge. Their hope is to share Wangat’s wonders with as many people as possible, with an emphasis on accessibility and inclusion for all. Many of their customers are large groups of friends and family who return year after year and for whom Wangat will, in no small way, become theirs. A lodge stay is a unique experience hosted by Dan & the Wangat team, who engage both adults and children with nature, in an unforgettable way. Dan's passion for the outdoors is infectious - he is able to prompt curiosity, inspiring those around him to learn about the forest, bush foods, animal tracks, river life and more! Set in superb natural surroundings, including 50 acres of pristine bush and a forest amphitheatre. Guests can relax and enjoy the lodge’s rustic charm and engage in outdoor activities, including bush walks, swimming and mountain biking. Wangat also offers school holiday programs, venue hire, outdoor education experiences and relaxed evenings playing board games or reading by the crackling wood fire.
