🦘🎉 HAPPY WORLD KANGAROO DAY 2026! 🎉🦘

💛 TODAY IS THE DAY! 💛

Today, 24 October, we celebrate Australia's magnificent kangaroos and the extraordinary place they hold in our landscapes, our culture and our hearts.

From the tiniest joey peeking out of a pouch to the mighty red kangaroo bounding across the outback, these remarkable individuals are part of what makes Australia so special.

🌿 They are our neighbours.
🦘 They are part of our natural heritage.
💚 They have families, friendships and lives of their own.

This year's theme, REVERE AND RESPECT, is an invitation to see kangaroos through new eyes, to appreciate their beauty, understand their lives and recognise the importance of living alongside them.

Whether you're joining a World Kangaroo Day event, photographing kangaroos in the wild, sharing their stories or simply taking a moment to appreciate them, YOU are part of today's celebration!

🧡 Let's fill the day with love, appreciation and respect for our wonderful kangaroos.

From everyone at Kangaroos Alive, thank you for being part of World Kangaroo Day 2026!
