🌱 Sustainability in Action, Every Small Step Counts 🌱
We’re always looking for little ways we can do things better at Atura Dandenong. Some are big changes, but a lot of it comes down to the simple things we can all do every day.
A few things we’re working on around the hotel:
✅ Switch it off – Lights, air con and equipment don’t need to be running when spaces aren’t being used.
✅ One key per room – A simple way to help reduce unnecessary air conditioning when guests are out.
✅ Go Green – Encouraging guests staying multiple nights to skip a daily room clean when they don’t need one.
✅ Sort your waste – Taking a little extra care to put paper, bottles, cans and other waste in the right place makes a difference.
✅ Give back to the local community – Our brewery’s spent grain is donated to a local farmer rather than going to waste.
✅ Recycle your bottles and cans – We’re part of Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme, helping keep valuable materials out of landfill.
✅ Making better choices – We use Our Bunji by Yarn'n toilet paper and tissues, which helps support First Nations youth through 50% of profits being donated back to the community.
🔌 EV charging – We also have an EV charger available for guests and visitors choosing to travel electric.
None of these things are huge on their own, but together they add up.
So, keep switching things off, sorting the waste and looking for those little opportunities to do things a bit better.
