For those wishing to attend and pay their respects to Dennis Haraki.

Dennis and the Haraki family have been a significant part of the history of this pub and the Eumungerie community and we know many may wish to celebrate his life alongside the Haraki family.

Our thoughts continue to be with Tracey, Shannon, Emma, and their loved ones.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Dennis John Haraki.

Dennis and the Haraki family have long been a valued part of the history of both this pub and the wider Eumungerie community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Tracey, Shannon, Emma, and the entire Haraki family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of a much-loved husband, father and friend.

From all of us at the Drovers Dog Hotel, we thank Dennis for the role he played in the story of this pub and community.

Rest peacefully, Dennis. You will be remembered.

STATE OF ORIGIN - GAME 2

Being a publican means treating everyone equally.
Except during State of Origin.
Then it's every man for himself.
Queenslanders become suspicious, ###X
Gold becomes a personality flaw, and I lose all ability to be diplomatic.

Spotted Boof the shearer heading for the exit with a couple of ###X Golds under his arm.

As a proud Blues supporter, I had no choice but to put some distance between us.

Meanwhile, I cracked open a Tooheys a proper NSW beer, born and bred in Blues country took a swig, let out a crow loud enough to wake half the district, and reminded everyone what side of the border.

Tonight's Game 2 could go either way, but one thing's for sure, if Queensland lose, Boof might need to keep walking backwards all the way home.

Funny how State of Origin brings out the worst in otherwise reasonable people. For three nights a year, we judge each other by our jersey.
