🚨 EINASLEIGH–OASIS ROAD — IT’S TIME TO ACT 🚨

COMMUNITY MEETING — SUNDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER | 10.00AM | EINASLEIGH HALL

The Einasleigh–Oasis Road has deteriorated for years. We have all talked about it, complained about it and put up with it — but talking alone isn’t going to get this road sealed.

This is about safety, access, our local economy and the future of our community.

We are calling a community meeting to discuss forming an action group to campaign for the sealing and proper upgrading of the Einasleigh–Oasis Road.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

If you live, work or travel on this road, run a business, own property, rely on the road for your livelihood, or simply believe our community deserves better — please come along.

We also need letters of support from individuals, businesses and organisations explaining how the condition of the road affects you and the wider community.

The stronger our numbers and the more evidence we can put forward, the stronger our case will be.

This is our opportunity to stop simply accepting the condition of the road and start doing something about it.

Posting on behalf of one of our campers....

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the incredible strangers who helped save my son’s life last night. If it were not for your quick thinking, calmness and kindness, he may not be here this morning.

We were unbelievably lucky to be camping near a doctor and a paramedic, who stepped in immediately. To the elderly couple who used satellite communication to guide emergency services to us, thank you for staying with us and helping us through such a frightening time. And to the wonderful couple who drove us like a bat out of hell along dirt roads to reach the Rural Flying Doctor service — thank you. Your urgency and generosity will never be forgotten.

They truly do not make people like you lot anymore. In the middle of nowhere, we somehow found exactly the right people when we needed them most. You are all real-life Good Samaritans, and our family will be forever grateful.

I have a few people’s blankets, which will be freshly washed and brought back out on Sunday. If you have already moved on, please message me your postal address and I will send them straight to you.
