❄️ Winter Was Made for Slowing Down

There comes a time when you realise the best weekends aren't the busiest ones...

They're the ones where you wake to birdsong instead of alarms.
Where the morning starts with a hot coffee on the verandah.
Where crisp country air fills your lungs, and the only schedule is deciding whether to take a riverside walk or curl up with a good book beside the fire.

Winter in Barrington has a magic all of its own.

Misty mornings give way to brilliant blue skies, evenings are made for cosy fires, and the stars seem brighter than ever.

The Old Schoolmaster's Cottage offers a place to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with what really matters—peace, nature and time together.

This winter, don't just take a break.

Take the kind of break you'll still be thinking about long after you've returned home.

DID YOU KNOW?
The Bucketts were originally known as Buccan Buccan, a Kattang word meaning "lots of rock."

These sacred peaks played an important role in Guringay initiation ceremonies and remain one of the most significant cultural landmarks in the Gloucester region.
