This open category is loud, proud, unapologetic, and built to celebrate individuality in every form. Think freedom, expression, confidence, and pure dance-floor energy.
To compete in this division, participants must identify under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. Allies are absolutely celebrated and welcome to support, however this category is specifically designed to create visibility, representation, and space for LGBTQIA+ dancers to shine.
Whether you’re serving heels, swagger, softness, power, sparkle, masculinity, femininity, or all of the above, this is your space.
There are no rules around who you are, how you present, or what role you dance. Lead, follow, switch it up mid-routine - we’re here for the artistry, not outdated labels.
At the end of the day, the only thing being judged is your dancing: your musicality, performance quality, creativity, connection, and stage presence.

Wear what makes you feel powerful.
Yes to:
• Heels, sneakers, boots, flats - whatever you dance best in
• Any style of costuming, regardless of gender norms
• Drag, androgyny, glamour, fluidity, theatricality
• Full self-expression and main-character energy
A few basics:
• Costumes must be secure and safe for performance
• There are zero penalties for gender non-conforming presentation
• Judges are there to assess dance ability and not gender expression
This category is about authenticity, confidence, and owning your moment on the floor. Period.
