Sometimes you get a lovely email from a family you have assisted, this is one from a very special lady who lost her partner in terrible circumstances and as a celebrant my role is to make it easier for the family to deal with not only the loss, but also the circmstances of the loss.

Our family and friends have all commented on how wonderful the service was and how fitting a tribute to Michael’s life it was.
You helped me, in more ways than you know, to navigate such a difficult time with such care, compassion, ease and professionalism , albeit remotely from regional NSW, which added another dimension to the arrangements. I had the utmost confidence, assurance and trust in all your work and wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

What a beautiful afternoon at Canton Beach Foreshore today. Been together for 27 years and he finally popped the question. What a lovely service.

When I meet with families to discuss the memorial service for their loved one that has passed, quite often very difficult conversations are had but these conversations can assist families to deal with their loss, and I make a point of not leaving without a couple of lighter moments during these difficult conversations.

When I offer families our Memorial candles, many love the idea of having something physical that they can light for a couple of hours on special days as a tangible memory. Some people like to acknowledge all the “firsts” with a physical action such as lighting a candle. The First Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary are some of the hardest days to be without a loved one. These candles are a tasteful and beautiful item to have in a special place in your home.

We have lit candles to those passed for thousands of years and the symbolism of the lighting is to highlight the presence of love and bringing people together at a time of need for reverence and respect.

We can do them in colour or black and white, with or without writing. We also do pet memorial candles.

A heartfelt shoutout to my new followers and to those that visit my page.

I have been very busy with funerals and memorial services along with some small but very special wedding services.

I am now offering memorial candles that can help loved ones remember and honour their beloved. More on that next week.

Another happy couple. And the rain stayed away.

As a celebrant I see pain and suffering daily with families trying to make sense of the loss of loved ones under a myriad of circumstances. My experience tells me that there are not always easy answers, but as with all losses it’s time to rally around our communities and send support to those who need it most. I am thinking of the Jewish community, and everyone in Bondi, as they navigate this unimaginable tragedy. Violence like this has no place in the Australia we know and love — it’s time to embrace compassion as we do our best to move forward.
We all stand united.

My new life as a celebrant is made even more special when I receive a heartfelt note like this one. It was an absolute pleasure to work alongside Danny from Simplicity Funerals to make this service such a special one for the family. 🌹

'On behalf of Sean, I would like to thank you for the immensely moving and dignified service you have presented today. The photos were beautifully presented, the music and speaking volume was perfect and Lachlan's tributes were so beautiful. I had no idea I would shed a tear today but I was just so moved by the service that it was not to be helped.

The roses were absolutely divinely perfect! Whoever your supplier is, must have some magic in their green thumbs and Sean noticed with awe at the amazing quality. As you know, he does know his roses!

Danny made the process so easy, with Sean not having to worry about the cost or any of the details that he would have needed to handle. Also, in the weeks leading up to the event, I've been made aware of the respectful way Danny has been treating Sean, seeing him regularly. It is clear Sean has benefitted from your initiative, time and company and for that, Sean is (and I am) most grateful'.
