✨ Meet the HHE Team ✨
This is Cilla Landy — or "Cill" as many of you know her.
You might recognise Cill from her role as a nurse at the Lockington & District Bush Nursing Centre, or perhaps from Drovers Saddlery, where her infectious smile and happy personality are just as well known as her dedication to the community.
When Mel first floated the idea of HHE, Cill was the very first person she approached. There was no hesitation — she was immediately on board, sharing her knowledge, contacts and ideas to help turn a simple concept into the event you see today.
Cill understands the importance of prioritising health, not only through her nursing career but through personal experience. Earlier this year, she lost her beautiful mum to Motor Neurone Disease (MND). A farmer through and through, her mum continued to do what needed to be done on the farm, even while facing the challenges of such a devastating disease.
Her story is a powerful reminder of the resilience, determination and selflessness so often seen in rural communities — and why events like HHE matter.
Tomorrow, Cill will be taking part in The Big Freeze Echuca Moama, helping raise awareness and funds for MND research. We're incredibly proud of her and grateful for everything she contributes to our community and to HHE.
If you see her around, be sure to give her a cheer on and wish her luck for the slide! 💙❄️
Thank you, Cill, for your passion, your generosity, and for helping make HHE possible.
