💔 Our hearts are broken.

Last night, we said goodbye to our beautiful Grubzy. 🐾

He was so much more than our dog — he was family, our little mate, and a much-loved part of the Halifax Hotel. He loved wandering around saying hello to everyone who came through the doors, and we know many of you loved him too.

Rest easy, Grubzy. Thank you for all the love, laughs and memories.

Last drinks, little mate. Until we meet again. ❤️🐾

🏗️ The Next Chapter at the Halifax Hotel

The transformation of the Halifax Hotel continues, and we're excited to share an update on the next stage of our restoration.

We have decided to meticulously rebuild the heritage of this beautiful hotel. While this changes our timeline, it allows us to blend the heritage and character of this old country pub with modern design, upgraded facilities and a fresh new experience for generations to come.

In the meantime, we're proud to welcome everyone back with beers on tap, an expanded range of drinks, locally made North Queensland products, live NRL on the big screens, and the friendly country hospitality the Halifax Hotel has always been known for.

Every stage of this journey is about building a better future while preserving the history that makes this place so special.

Thank you to our local community, visitors and supporters for your patience and encouragement. We can't wait to share the next chapter with you.
