🍕🇮🇹 MAMMA MIA… HALIFAX IS GETTING A PIZZERIA! 🇮🇹🍕

Pizzeria? Pizzarie? Pisseria? 🤌
We’ve spent so much time rebuilding the kitchen that we forgot to practise spelling it. Luckily, in house dough is back. Specialised hand-rolled pizza bases and every pizza made fresh from scratch by our amazing team. Add plenty of cheesy goodness and hearty pub favourites, and there’ll be something to keep the whole table happy from scratch by our amazing team.

🔨 HALIFAX HOTEL – PROGRESS UPDATE 🔨

Work is moving along, and we’re pleased to share the latest on the old girl’s rebuild!

✅ Concrete has been poured.
✅ Walls have been battened out.
✅ A state-of-the-art kitchen exhaust system is being installed.
✅ The kitchen is undergoing a complete redesign and layout for speed of service and ease of use.

Upstairs, we’re removing and replacing the entire upper rear exterior wall—the area where we experienced most of the water inundation from above. It’s significant work and an important part of restoring the hotel for the years ahead.

Bedrooms we have begun filling in all the old cracks from what make this old girl sing in the wind at night, couple retreat boutique style rooms with a reason to get away from the hustle and bustle.

There’s still plenty to do, but every step brings us closer. We’re putting the care and effort into this beautiful old girl so she can stand the test of time. ❤️

We’ve opened up the old arch window above our staircase, and the sunshine is pouring in.

Just imagine how beautiful this space will look once the rest of the chandeliers are hung. We can’t wait to see it all come together! ✨

🚧 Stage 2 is underway at the Halifax Hotel!

Work on our kitchen has begun, the plans are finalised, and progress is already easy to spot—we’re even missing a few walls! 👀

We’re also raising the floor height and sealing off areas that could be affected by future flooding. It’s an important part of making the hotel more resilient as we rebuild.

While construction continues, please take care in and around the hotel and stay behind all cordons and barriers. They’re there to keep everyone safe.

🚧 Stage 2 Begins Monday! 🚧

Construction officially begins on Monday as our builders start Stage 2 of the Halifax Hotel rebuild!

While every safety measure is being taken, we kindly ask everyone to remain cautious around construction areas and follow all signs and directions.

The exciting news? Our community’s well-loved kitchen is coming back, with reopening planned for November 2026! 🍽️

Last night, we said goodbye to our beautiful Grubzy. 🐾

He was so much more than our dog — he was family, our little mate, and a much-loved part of the Halifax Hotel. He loved wandering around saying hello to everyone who came through the doors, and we know many of you loved him too.

Rest easy, Grubzy. Thank you for all the love, laughs and memories.
