Look who I finally caught having a bath at Mr Hemley… 🐦💦
This little White-browed Scrubwren is a regular visitor, but he’s incredibly shy. I often catch a glimpse of him darting around outside, only for him to disappear straight under the house before I can get a good look.
Today, while I was making the bed, I happened to look out the window at just the right moment — and there he was, happily splashing about in the bird bath.
And not just any bird bath! It’s a beautiful hand-blown glass piece by James McMurtrie, nestled amongst the kangaroo paws in the garden.

Sometimes it’s the little moments that make you stop and smile. 🌿
