A few days later, we’re still smiling…

On the weekend we hosted our inaugural Silverband Lodge Family Camp, and what an incredible few days it was.

From the moment families arrived, there was a wonderful sense of connection and adventure. We kicked off the weekend by creating our own family crests, sharing stories and plenty of laughs as families got to know one another. With delicious meals keeping everyone well fuelled for adventure, we packed a lot into the weekend!

Together we:
🚴 Explored Halls Gap's beautiful bike paths
🧗 Abseiled at Delley’s Bridge and challenged ourselves on the abseil and climbs at the Grand Canyon
🌲 Tested our courage on the high ropes course
🛶 Splashed around on Lake Bellfield in canoes
🏹 Put our aim to the test with archery
🔥 Toasted marshmallows around the campfire
🧠 Enjoyed a lively trivia night filled with healthy competition and plenty of laughs
🥾 Discovered some of the Grampians' most beautiful walks, including Venus Baths and the Pinnacle
🌅 And for a few keen early risers, a special sunrise adventure to Boronia Peak

Most importantly, it was a weekend of connection. It was genuinely lovely to see families reconnect with one another, step away from the everyday, and make new friendships along the way. The camp had such a warm, welcoming feel, and that was thanks to every family who came along and embraced the experience.

A huge thank you to Joe for hosting such an amazing weekend, and to Mira from for capturing so many special moments.

We're incredibly proud to have been part of the Active in Nature journey, which has seen more than 1,000 young Victorians take part, over the past three years.

Through this program, we've welcomed young people to experience the Grampians/Gariwerd, build confidence, try new challenges and create connections that extend well beyond their time away. It's been inspiring to see the positive impact that access to nature and outdoor experiences can have on wellbeing, resilience and a sense of belonging.

We’ve planned the activities, organised the food, and stocked the marshmallows. Your job is simply to get the family here... a task that seasoned parents know is actually the hardest activity of the weekend. 😅

We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow for a weekend of fun, connection and time together in the great outdoors! 🌿🏕️✨

Still a handful of rooms available at Silverband Lodge for our upcoming Family Camp Weekend - this coming Friday to Sunday!

Picture - a weekend in the Grampians at Silverband Lodge where you and your family can slow down, share new experiences, enjoy the outdoors and make memories together. No pressure. No special skills required.
