1823 its Historical significance in Australia is second to none and remains the oldest standing group of buildings west of the Blue Mountains. The view of Horseshoe Mountain has become pretty iconic around here.

For the past 12 years, couples have wandered across the road to capture these magic photos with the valley stretching out behind them.

A little while ago, our neighbour replaced all the fencing around his paddock. Completely understandable - but it made getting in and out a bit trickier for photographers.

Then he stopped by last week.

You know what he said?

“I fixed the latch on the fence so it’s easier for your photographers to get in and take photos.”

What a legend.

But honestly, that’s just how things work around here.

Our neighbours might not live right next door, but we’re always looking out for one another. One day that might mean fixing a fence latch for wedding photos. Another day it might mean helping catch a goat that’s got itself into a bit of trouble.

That’s just life in the valley.

It’s a small thing.

But it’s also not. 🖤

A handful of good afternoons are headed your way.

We’ve locked in the next few months of live music in The Barn - from winter fireside sessions to spring days in the valley, with some bloody good local talent along the way.

You might notice September’s session falls on the second last weekend of the month — wedding season keeps us busy, but there was no way we were giving up our afternoons in The Barn.

And there won’t be a Sunday Session at the end of October — we’re putting on our annual Oktoberfest instead! (Third year running.) 🍻
