Who says the best time to visit the Flinders Ranges is over?

Spring and early summer are still a wonderful time to experience the beauty of Skytrek Willow Springs Station! 🌸

With longer days, warmer weather and breathtaking scenery, it’s the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle, unwind and enjoy a little outback magic. 🌄

🏕️ We still have availability across our campsites and accommodation, so whether you prefer camping under the stars or enjoying the comforts of one of our properties, there’s something for everyone. A reminder from the 16th November 2026 until 21st March 2027 ( excluding from 13th Dec 2026 to 18th Jan 2027) we have the Stay 3 pay 2 special on all accommodation and campsites excluding Shearer’s Quarters and Moxans hut.

☀️ Make the most of the last week of the school holidays in the Flinders Ranges! ☀️

The holidays might be winding down, but there’s still plenty happening around the region. If you’re looking for something to do, here are a few ideas!

🎨 Artists of the Ranges Art Exhibitions
Take some time to browse the work of talented local artists, with exhibitions at both Wilpena and Blinman.
• Wilpena Woolshed: Open 9:30am–4:30pm daily until 11 October
• Blinman Town Hall: Open 10am–4pm daily until 11 October

🌌 Stellar Science
When the sun goes down, look up! Join Karl from Stellar Science and discover the incredible night skies of the Flinders Ranges. A fantastic experience for the whole family and a great way to spend one of your last holiday evenings. Book through his website stellarscience.org.

🐴🏍️ Blinman Gymkhana & Motorkhana – Saturday 17 October
While the Gymkhana & Motorkhana falls just outside the school holidays, it’s well worth checking out if you’re still in the area! There’ll be horse and motorbike events, vendors and stallholders, food, novelty events and plenty of country fun. Free admission and camping onsite, with live entertainment from Jock Pocket from 7:30pm.

And of course, there’s plenty more to enjoy while you’re here — walking trails, scenic drives, beautiful spring landscapes and that wonderful Flinders Ranges fresh air. 🌿

🎨 DISCOVER BLINMAN – WHERE ART, HISTORY & THE OUTBACK COME TOGETHER

As you travel through the Northern Flinders Ranges during A Brush with Art 2026, take the scenic route to Blinman – a small, welcoming outback town with a big story to tell. 🏜️

Established after copper was discovered in 1859, Blinman retains much of its nineteenth-century character, with historic stone buildings, mining sites and fascinating reminders of the people who lived and worked in this remote part of South Australia.

While you’re here, explore the A Brush with Art exhibition, wander the historic streets, discover the Heritage Blinman Mine and enjoy genuine country hospitality.

🥾 Take a walk on the wild side at Skytrek Willow Springs! 🌿

Spring is a beautiful time to explore the Flinders Ranges on foot — the sun is shining, the days are warming up, but it’s not too hot yet. ☀️🌼

Here at Skytrek Willow Springs, we have four walking trails, all varying in length and offering something a little different along the way. None are overly difficult, so whether you’re after a shorter wander or feel like stretching the legs a little further, there’s a trail to suit.

Take your time, enjoy the fresh spring air, keep an eye out for wildlife and soak up those beautiful Flinders Ranges views. 📸🦅

🐾 Dogs are welcome too! We just ask that they are kept close by you or on a leash while you’re out exploring.

And don’t forget the camera — you never know what you might spot along the way!
