Unfortunately we have to cancel our ASH day scheduled for this coming Sunday due to lack of numbers to make it viable to run. A great shame as we had some fantastic instructors coming to Katanning for the day.

We really would like people's feedback on the events that KEA schedule and endeavour to run so this doesn't keep happening. If it was just bad timing, or your horses are out of work or you're just not interested- that's totally fine- please let us know! We really want to be planning rally's and putting our time and energy as a committee, into events that our horse community actually want. Either direct message to Secretary Kelly Gorter or PM this page.

Thankyou, see you in November for our next rally. 29th of November.

Excited to announce that we have the wonderful Dawn Solomon coming over to share her comprehensive expertise and knowledge of all things Aus Stock Horse, for our ASH Day on Sunday 11th October.
She will be ably supported by Tiarna Wallinger who is also a very competent ASH competitor, as well as Bree Garlick who is bringing her JMac mechanical cow for us to have a play with.
The time trial and utility sessions will be coached by our very own Pete and Wendy Bessell-Browne.

Day memberships available.

Entries close Monday 5th October. Please comment or message us if you would like an entry form emailed to you (as Kelly cant work out how to add a document to this FB post!)

October Rally!
This will be our rescheduled Australian Stock Horse (ASH) training (for those who have experience) or have-a-go (for newbies) day!
ASH events suit all sorts of horses and riders. Events like the Kojonup Show and Breed Show host ASH Challenge classes each year and our local ASH Branch is only just down the road at Mt Barker. So there are opportunities close to home to compete in and practice these classes.
Instructors and cost TBC when we get them finalised but cost should be minimal. Please register your interest with Kelly Gorter .

Due to instructor availability, we have postponed our Stockhorse Training day scheduled for September and replaced it with a casual riding day. This means we will get an EXTRA rally in October 😁 Details to come on that one.

If riders would like anything set up in particular, please let us know (jumps, barrel race, games, pole work exercises, handy pony etc). A great opportunity to practice all the things we have learnt at previous rallys/ lessons and enjoy a ride with friends!

Also seeking EOI's in a horse gear car boot style markets to be held at lunchtime at this event. Please comment or PM the page if you have some gear you'd want to sell.

Please see our updated event calendar! We are taking a short break over July & August but will be back in September for our ASH clinic with Brandon Holland 🤠
