🍻 Science is better at the pub! What a fantastic, sold-out turnout for Pint of Science at the Metropole in Katoomba!
We traded the lab for a pint and dove into the incredible, resilient ecology of our own backyard. 🌲✨
A huge shoutout to our three amazing speakers for keeping us captivated:
🐟 Will Goodwin on the mysterious life and conservation of the Blue Mountains Perch from the Blue Mountains City Council
🌱 Prof. Brendan Choat on connecting ecology, climate through data, insights and technology, from Blue Mountains Ecology Hub and Western Sydney University
🔥 Scott Mooney on uncovering deep-time history through climate and fire regimes from UNSW Science
Massive thanks to the Pint of Science AU and the team for putting this fabulous night of science and fun together!
This special Katoomba event was made free, possible thanks to our sponsorship and the Inspiring Australia - National Networks, and Upper Mountains Science Hub grant.
