Another batch of our Cherry Liqueur to bottle.

The two cherry trees in our orchard yielded a great crop again so we repeated the exercise from last year and soaked them in brandy and vodka.

The key to this very simple recipe is fresh cherries, and high quality local spirits - ideally cask strength brandy.

Total production - 36 bottles

If we take a closer look at our hops, we can see that lupulin accumulation is underway.
The yellow lupulin is what brewers seek in hops, as it provides bitterness when added early in the kettle, and flavour and aroma when added late or during fermentation.
Our Centennial hops are currently developing their characteristic citrus, floral, and pine aromas. 🍋💐🌲

Our 2 year old hop plants have grown to 7' high since they emerged in spring 5 weeks ago!
Ready for a bigger trellis, arriving in Jan.
