We are exploring the possibility of hosting a regular Full Moon Dance Gathering here at Kilkivan Bush Camping and would love to connect with people who feel inspired to help co-create something truly special.

Imagine an evening of music, movement, connection, campfires, community, and celebrating under the glow of the full moon. Whether you're a DJ, musician, facilitator, performer, sound healer, event organiser, creative soul, or simply someone who loves bringing people together, we'd love to hear from you.

This is not about one person running an event—it's about a community coming together to create something beautiful that reflects the gifts and talents of everyone involved.

What a difference a day makes :-)

Yesterday was windy and cold 💨❄️ ... Mare tail clouds all over the sky ... Today is gorgeous and warm and not a cloud in sight ☀️

Fun fact ... Mares tails or Cirrus Uncinus clouds are caused by strong winds at high altitudes that blow the ice crystals across the sky, dragging the tails behind them as they fall into drier air.

Hopefully everyone is out enjoying the gorgeous day. Its very quiet here which is a shame as the park really comes into its own at this time of year, but fingers crossed it picks up now the rain is gone away for a while :-)

"From little things, big things grow" 🌳🍊

About 10 years ago, I noticed a tiny little shoot growing near our rainwater tank tap near the amenities. After repeated close call attempts by Ralph to pull out the "w**d", a lovely mandarin tree grew. All it needed from us is a bit of protection, water and just the right amount of neglect ;-)
My story is that someone must have spat out some seeds many years ago and one strong one survived. Now we enjoy delicious mandarins each year, they are huge and juicy and the tree is smothered in them - our kids love seeing them ripen up to get ready to pick :-)

It is like a metaphor for our families life here ... if you create the right environment, amazing things can happen :-)
