Happy Father’s Day. 💙

A family business teaches you pretty quickly how much the generations before you matter.

The advice, the experience, the helping hand and the quiet support behind the scenes all add up to something pretty special.

Today we are celebrating the dads, grandads and father figures who have helped shape the families and businesses around them.

Saturday mornings in Launceston are made for a wander through Harvest Market.

Grab breakfast, pick up something local for later and let the kids choose a treat while you take your time looking around.

From there, City Park is an easy walk away, with plenty of space for the kids to run around and, of course, the monkeys always worth a visit. 🐒

It is a simple way to start the day and a great introduction to some of the people and places that make Launceston so special.

One of the things families often appreciate most is simply being close to everything.

Cataract Gorge is only 2km away, the city is within easy reach, and there is plenty to do without spending half the day in the car.

Then when you do want to head further afield, Northern Tasmania opens up in every direction.

A good base makes a family holiday that much easier😍

Sometimes the best part of a family holiday is the bit you didn’t plan.

A run around the playground, another turn on the jumping pillow, or making a new friend before dinner.

There is plenty to explore around Launceston, but it is nice knowing the kids can still find plenty to do when you get back to the park too. 😊

Hello spring. 🌸

Longer days, a little more sunshine and plenty of reasons to get out and explore.

Launceston makes a great base for a family break, with Cataract Gorge, the Tamar Valley, local markets, museums and plenty more all within easy reach.

Unpack once, settle in and make the most of Northern Tasmania from here.

The last official day of winter. ❄️

Spring in Tasmania does not always mean the jackets disappear straight away, but it does bring longer afternoons, more daylight for exploring and the start of a lovely few months in Northern Tasmania.

We are very ready for that. 🌿

One family. Four different ideas about what they want for lunch.

World Street Eats might be the answer. 🌏🍜

It’s on in Civic Square today from 11am to 3pm, bringing together food trucks and stalls serving flavours from around the world, with plenty of local Tasmanian produce in the mix.

A great excuse to head into the city, try something different and let everyone choose their own favourite.

AFLW returns to Launceston today. 🏉

North Melbourne takes on the Western Bulldogs at UTAS Stadium from 12.35pm.

If you’re making a day of it, Harvest Market is on this morning too, so there’s plenty happening around the city before the first bounce.

A great weekend to be in Launnie 💙

We have changed a lot over the years.

More accommodation, better facilities, larger sites and plenty of improvements along the way.

Winning Gold at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards last year was a very special recognition of that work. 🏆

But what we are most grateful for is the number of guests who continue to return and stay with us year after year.

That ongoing support means a great deal to our family and our team 💗
