Tilpa weir is closed

The Tilpa Weir access road from MR68 Curranyalpa Road will be closed to the public from 30 October 2026 for several months.

The closure is required to allow for the construction of a fishway and remediation works to the existing weir as part of the NSW Government’s, Fish Passage: Reconnecting the Northern Basin Project.

The access road, Tilpa Weir site, and picnic area will be inaccessible to the public during construction for safety reasons. The closure is expected to remain in place until the works are completed, subject to weather and site conditions.

We would like to thank the community for your patience and cooperation while these important works are undertaken.
