CLEANING & GROUNDS ASSISTANT WANTED 🌿✨

We’re looking for a reliable, practical and detail-loving person to join our team across Mewburn Park Retreats and Mewburn Park Wedding & Events.
This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working in beautiful surroundings, takes pride in their work and likes the variety of a role that combines cleaning, presentation of decor and general gardening.
Our retreat cabins and wedding spaces are both premium products and for that we are looking for someone who has a great eye for detail and understands that it’s often the little things that make a space feel really special.
THE ROLE
The role is approximately 15 hours per week casual rates, generally during the week between around 10am and 3pm, with some flexibility around days and hours.
Your work will include:
🌿 Mewburn Park Retreats
* Cleaning and preparing our guest cabins between stays
* Making sure each cabin is beautifully presented and guest-ready
* Checking the finer details, from bathrooms and kitchens to outdoor areas
* Restocking supplies and reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining storage room
💍 Mewburn Park Wedding & Events
* Cleaning and maintaining parts of our wedding and event spaces
* Helping keep the gardens, outdoor areas and facilities looking their best
* General presentation and preparation of the property
🌱 Light gardening & grounds work
* Weeding, watering, tidying and garden maintenance
* Keeping outdoor areas neat and inviting
* Helping with general property presentation as needed
ABOUT YOU
You’ll be someone who:
* Has excellent attention to detail
* Takes genuine pride in doing a job well
* Is reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
* Is comfortable working independently
* Enjoys cleaning and leaving things looking really good
* Has an appreciation for beautiful spaces and presentation
* Is happy to get stuck into a bit of gardening and outdoor work
* Is practical and able to spot when something needs doing
* Is flexible and happy to work around our busy wedding and accommodation schedule
* Has a friendly, positive attitude and is comfortable being part of a small team
Previous professional cleaning, housekeeping, gardening or hospitality experience would be an advantage, but the right attitude and eye for detail are just as important to us.

Mewburn Park is a beautiful private property in Gippsland, home to Mewburn Park Wedding & Events and Mewburn Park Retreats.
We look after weddings, events and accommodation on the property, so no two days are necessarily the same. We care a lot about creating beautiful experiences for our guests and couples — and that starts with the way our spaces look and feel.
We’re a small team, so everyone plays an important part in keeping Mewburn Park looking its best.
