Every day, my car seems to know the way.

It carries me to the ocean, where I slip beneath the surface and enter another world. The depth of the water. The dancing light streaming through from above. The feeling of rising back up toward the sun. Every dive feels like a reminder of how beautiful it is to be alive.

Then there are the conversations. The unexpected encounters. Wonderful souls met over a coffee, sharing presence rather than performance.

And afterwards, returning home to the warmth of the sauna, the sound of rain falling from the shower, the simplicity of being.

It all feels magical.
Meaningful.
Enough.

More and more, I find myself surrendering to a higher will rather than forcing a plan. Following what calls me. Trusting what unfolds.

Because beyond the busyness, the roles we play, the roads we travel, the masks we wear, and the illusions we chase, there is something waiting for us.

A quiet remembering.

A retreat back to ourselves.

And perhaps that is what we are all searching for—not more, but deeper.

Not another destination, but a return home.

An older lady once taught me her cream recipe, and how to make soaps.
I’m still deeply grateful she shared this with me, because from that small gift grew Authentic Margaret River.

These are the products I now love making for Explorers Rest and Sea La Vie.
And every time I take my own little escape, I feel a sense of nurturing.

Haven’t posted anything on here for so long.
The last few months I’ve been quietly focused on giving Sea La Vie a little makeover, to bring some fresh air into its sales.

For the first time, I stayed here for myself while my daughter had her birthday party. I was amazed how much I actually felt like being on a sailing boat. The space felt peaceful and calm — or maybe that was me.

It feels quite magical to arrive at a place of appreciation, having transformed a space.
