This is Gnarabup Beach, five minutes walk from your room, and honestly, all the reason you need to care deeply about our oceans. 💙

That crystal clear water doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of healthy coastal ecosystems, protected coastline, and a community that genuinely loves and looks after this place on Wardandi Country, where the ocean has been cherished for millennia.

Today is World Environment Day 🌏 and we’re using our platform to speak up for a place we walk through, care for, and love deeply.

This is Injidup. On the Cape to Cape Track. Wardandi Country.

Home to kangaroos 🦘, lizards, birdlife, incredible orchids, bushtucker, rare coastal heath, and one of the most breathtaking stretches of coastline in Australia. Our guides walk this ground every season — and right now, it’s under threat.

A proposed industrial sand mine at Lot 4, 2774 Caves Road, Yallingup would bring 100–200 truck movements daily down a small rural road, threatening:
🌿 Critical wildlife habitat
🍇 Generational organic wineries through silt in vines and water supply
🏄 Injidup’s identity as a sanctuary — not a sand pit
🌊 The pristine coastline you see right here

The Wardandi people have called this Country home for tens of thousands of years. We don’t get to decide its legacy but we do get to fight for it.

🍂 AUTUMN IN MARGARET RIVER, THERE’S NOTHING QUITE LIKE IT 🍂 Caves Road in autumn is something else entirely. While the rest of the world is busy, the Margaret River wine region quietly puts on one of its most beautiful shows of the year, golden vines, red dirt roads, ancient gums and that crisp winter light that makes everything glow. 🍂 These stunning scenes from and the iconic say it better than words ever could. That tree-lined driveway at Vasse Felix alone is worth the drive. 🌿. This is what our guests walk through on the Cape to Cape Track, world-class wine country right on the doorstep of one of Australia’s greatest coastal walks. Happy World Bee Day! 🐝 Spotted this afternoon at SurfPoint, our gardens are buzzing. These little pollinators were hard at work on our native hakea, a plant that’s as much a part of this landscape as the surf and the stars. (Burrendong Beauty)

What you’re seeing is rare in suburban Australia: a sky almost completely free of light pollution. Gnarabup was designed just over 30 years ago with our nocturnal neighbours in mind — the gnarran, or western ringtailed possum. No street lights means they can navigate, forage and thrive as nature intended. It also means we get skies like this. The crescent moon paired with stars and planets low on the horizon, the Milky Way slowly revealing itself, and finally the moon dipping below the treeline in a blaze of red, all visible from the resort.
This is what it means to stay somewhere that genuinely puts the environment first. 🌿
