What we love about this home;

- Single-level holiday home located in central Margaret River.
- Onsite parking directly in front of the home with a short, sloped concrete driveway with clear access to the front entry.
- Large shower with no hob. Only 1cm step-down into the shower and plenty of space for a shower chair or shower stool

Moos Hoose is in a fantastic location in the heart of Margaret River

What we love about this home
1) Designated disability parking bay for the apartment.
2) Ground floor access, no internal steps.
3) Wheel in front door entry (no threshold) with doorway width of 810mm
4) Combined toilet and shower wet area: Wheel in shower (no hob or frame), grab
rails in toilet and shower recess. A height adjustable shower chair is provided.

The AHH team have already assisted a holiday maker to have an electric bed, hoist, commode and powered pressure care mattresses set up in this home previously. This home is compatible for those with specialized equipment needs.

It's OT week this week! So what better time than to introduce the OT's who work for Accessible Holiday Homes.
Sarah has been fortunate enough to call Margaret River home after moving down in 1991 as a young child. She completed both primary and high school education in the area before leaving to complete university education in Perth.
Sarah graduated with a master's degree in occupational therapy from Curtin University and has worked extensively in residential aged care and in the community, primarily with older adults and those living with progressive neurological conditions.
On her days off, Sarah spends time with her partner, her loved ones and enjoying every aspect of living in the southwest. Sarah loves being an Occupational Therapist and is passionate about enabling everyone to enjoy participating in things that bring joy.

Bree has always been a big supporter of the AHH message, and we are so excited that she has joined the team.

Hi, I'm Bree - an Occupational Therapist and team member of Accessible Holiday Homes.

I graduated from Curtin University with a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy in 2014.

I have been fortunate enough to have worked most of my career in community aged care and disability located in the Southwest. Recently I made the move back to Perth and am enjoying rediscovering the city. In my spare time, you'll find me on a Pickleball court, soaking in the sun on a bike ride or planning my next holiday.

While working, as well as talking to family, it was surprising to hear firsthand the limited information about access that is made available when trying to plan a holiday. This was evident at all stages including while planning and once they had arrived. This significantly impacted the overall travel experience and is avoidable.

I feel very fortunate to be part of the Accessible Holiday Homes team to empower everyone to have a seamless getaway, try new things, spend time with loved ones and create core memories by having access to information and support as needed. Here's to your next adventure!

It's OT week! OT Week is an annual celebration of the extraordinary impact occupational therapists make every day. This year’s theme resonates with Accessible Holiday Homes- Participation Matters. The understanding that being able to participate in life is fundamental to health, wellbeing and sense of belonging.

Arcadia at Hamelin Bay Holiday Park is a single-story, 2-bedroom chalet,
offering ocean glimpses from the outdoor deck. Whilst the chalet itself has limited accessible features, The Holiday Park has upgraded their public toilets located at the reception, which includes two accessible wet rooms (showers and toilets). This provides an alternative bathroom option for holiday makers with specific access needs.
