At Pointro, we want every guest to enjoy a relaxing, family-friendly camping experience. Our visitors come here to enjoy the peace, tranquillity, and natural beauty of the area, and we ask everyone to be considerate of fellow campers.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for poor behaviour, disrespect towards other campers, excessive noise, or abuse of our caretaker, who generously volunteers her time to support Pointro.

Any guest who breaches these expectations will be reported to Hipcamp and will be banned from staying at Pointro. Serious incidents may also affect their ability to continue using Hipcamp and could impact bookings at other Hipcamp locations.

Thank you to the many wonderful guests who help make Pointro a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable place for everyone.

If you’re planning to fish at Lake Maroon during your stay, please remember that a current fishing permit is required. You can purchase one online before you arrive, and it helps support the upkeep of our beautiful waterways. For more information and buying your permit:

Please note a Fire Ban has been declared by the Queensland Fire Department for a number of Local Government Areas including the Scenic Rim.

What this means for campers:
- All open fires are prohibited
- ​The lighting of fires in the declared fire ban areas is prohibited subject to any special conditions or exemptions
- Gas and electric barbecues may be used, but must be operated with extreme care.

This isn’t what we want to see. A broken lock at the gate compromises the safety and integrity of the camping ground. It’s not okay.
