Another lap around the sun and another season of premium Dorper lamb from Muddy Creek Farm, just outside Yea.

Farmer Dave Paton and Chef Ryan share a long standing friendship and a mutual appreciation for quality produce, considered farming practices and knowing where their food comes from.

We’ll have the BBQ firing up from 11am with chef slinging snags. And five screens with the sound up loud so you won’t miss a moment.

There will be face painting for the kids, a meat tray raffle and a half time kick-to-kick.

B**r battered Corner Inlet flathead tails & chips.

One of my earliest food memories as a kid is sitting in a small restaurant on the wharf at Lakes Entrance eating fresh flathead tails and chips. These prehistoric looking lizard fish with venomous spikes are, in our humble opinion, the ultimate battered fish.

The almost sweet, flaky flesh when partnered with a good crunchy batter and homemade tartare sauce is the definition of happiness on a plate.

For the adult only upgrade you can wash it down with a cold pint of Pilsner on a sunny autumn afternoon sitting under the falling elm leaves of Royal Parade. Heaven.
