In 2019, the inaugural campaign was launched in honour of our dear friend and ambassador, Jarrod Lyle, who sadly lost his battle with cancer in August 2018.
Today, continues Jarrod's vision of supporting children and families living with cancer by helping Challenge provide practical assistance during and beyond their cancer journey.
In partnership with Challenge, the PGA of Australia established the annual fundraising campaign, bringing together the golfing community to celebrate Jarrod's life, support a worthy cause, and ensure his legacy lives on.
To further honour Jarrod's incredible impact on Australian golf and the wider community, the PGA of Australia also created Yellow Day, which has become an annual tradition at the Australian PGA Championship. Golfers and supporters are encouraged to wear yellow, raise funds, and show their support for children and families facing cancer.
